Dr. Gerald Clarke started Ophthalmic Surgery of Wisconsin in July 1981.
Since that time he has been a major innovator in eye surgery techniques. He was the first eye surgeon to perform a radial keratotomy in Wisconsin, after studying the  procedure in Russia.

Since then he has performed thousand of refractive surgery procedures. He was one of the first surgeons to perform laser procedures in the early 1990's, and was a pioneer in LASIK surgery in 1996. He is active in research, and is an FDA monitor for several important LASIK research projects.
